From the garden to our table – Sant’Antioco

For those who love nature, getting to know and tasting genuine products and typical local recipes: a guided walk among seasonal cultivations to discover another aspect of the island's territory, ending with a degustation in a special place.

Vegetable gardens like vineyards are a widespread reality in Sardinia, particularly in the south. Many families own and manage a vegetable garden sufficient for family production or little more, and this makes it possible to consume seasonal fruit and vegetables at zero kilometre. Zero kilometre is also a boast for many of the island’s fruit and vegetable shops, which instead manage much larger plots of land.

The first stop on our tour will be a visit between the rows of a beautiful local vegetable garden to learn about the genuine seasonality of fruit and vegetables. Together we will gather seasonal produce, understand how it is grown, and then move on to a fascinating location: the ancient wine warehouse Da Zia Pinuccia-Home Restaurant, a place where time seems to stand still. Emanuela and Stefano, creators of the home restaurant, will welcome us in an atmosphere evocative of the old houses of the past: a wood-fired oven, local-style furniture and kitchen utensils are just a few aspects that will catch you at first glance. Immediately afterwards, the aromas and flavours of the recipes that we will prepare and taste will totally capture you. Once you walk through the small front door you will forget the world outside. A regenerating experience.

From the Garden to Our Table tours take place from Monday to Friday upon request, or check the calendar for already active dates.

The tour lasts about 3 hours.

The difficulty of the route is low. However, comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended.

Groups are deliberately limited to a maximum of 15 people to ensure the quality of the experience and the safety of all participants.

It is also required for every participant:

  • to wear an FFp2 protective mask and to maintain a minimum safety distance of one metre
  • to carry their own hand sanitiser.

Reservation is required, without which the tour is not guaranteed. To book a tour please indicate your full name, the number of participants and the telephone number of a contact person.
Reservations can be made up to 6 p.m. on the day before the tour.

Maximum punctuality is required in respect of all participants.

Cancellation terms provide a full refund for any tour if this takes place at least 5 days before the scheduled start or within 24 hours of purchase. If cancellation occurs within 3 days prior to the event you are entitled to a 50% refund, otherwise there is no refund.
